Castlebridge Associates is soon to become GDE Ireland
For the past few months I've been in start-up mode, working my network and putting together the business plan and objectives for a stand-alone business, Castlebridge Associates.
A few weeks ago an interesting proposal was put to me which we are now in the process of finalising. While I can't go into the details of the proposal, suffice it to say it is strategically very significant for Castlebridge Associates as it currently stands.
Global Data Excellence is a rapidly growing company in the Information/Data Quality services world. They have a pretty unique service proposition and are lead by Dr Walid el Abed, who has been described by some as part of the "Second Wave" of information quality thought leaders. I've known Walid for nearly a decade now and was honoured when he proposed that Castlebridge Associates come under the wing of Global Data Excellence.
The final stages of the deal are being worked through at the moment, but among first things that will happen is that this website will be re-branded over the coming weeks ahead of a full migration to a new Global Data Excellence website at Globaldataexcellence.com in the near future. There are a few other changes happening in terms of the company name - Castlebridge Associates as we know it will cease to exist in the next few months.
Of course, I was doubly touched when I learned that Walid and his company are using Irish companies for some of their critical services like Webhosting and graphic design. Apparently Walid likes the "no bullshit" approach he has seen from the Irish.
I am looking forward to working with Walid and his global team (there are GDE subsidiaries in the UK, France, US, and Switzerland) to help Irish businesses tackle the challenges of poor quality information.
