The opening post

Thanks for stopping by. This site is still being developed behind the scenes (a bit like the business). So it will be content light for a while. There will be some small changes in site layout and presentation, and there'll inevitably be a load of legal stuff put on the site as well as is required by law. But we're not quite at that stage yet.

The purpose of this opening post is to manage some expectations. Some of you may know me from my personal blog, or from my work with the IAIDQ or the Irish Computer Society. So, some of you will be expecting some bad puns and lame jokes to appear here from time to time, along with the occasional rant.

This site will be different in tone. Not because I'm being a sham or attempting to hide anything or be duplicitous, rather because this is a business site where as my personal blog is, well, personal. That calls for a different perspective. As I'm taking a different perspective on things here I need to be a little more serious (hence the branding and the serious grey colour scheme, and absence of a Panic button).

So opinions expressed by me over on Obriend.info may not reflect the policies or opinions of the corporate entity that is Castlebridge Associates. Equally, opinions that I do express on my personal blog or on this "professional" blog may not reflect the opinions or views of any clients, partners, or professional organisations I am affiliated with.

As a company, Castlebridge Associates is committed to supporting the objectives and initiatives of the IAIDQ and the Irish Computer Society. To that end, we may from time to time sponsor activities by these (and perhaps other) organisations. We may write about those sponsorships. We are not laden down with bags of cash so we may write about events and activities that we haven't sponsored as well.

So if you want to see me ranting about something, visit the DoBlog. Here... this is ALL business.

I will be sharing my business-based thoughts here though.
